Farm offers aspiring farmers the opportunity to learn by doing through
our apprenticeship program.
If you are interested,
please send a letter of inquiry that includes the following information.
What skills
do you have to offer the farm? Include
experience with machinery, produce sales, retail sales, cooking,
writing, animal care, gardening, or horticulture.
What is the
hardest physical work you have ever done (tasks, hours, duration,
etc.)? This
job requires you to lift items weighing more than 60 lbs and work
long, physical days. Describe
your work ethic as an individual and as part of a team.
Please describe
your goals in the area of gardening or farming. What do you hope
to gain from this apprenticeship? Do you want to become a farmer?
Are there any
other important details about yourself that youd like to share
with us?
Include contact
information for three people who can speak to your work skills,
especially those skills related to farming.
When would you
like to start work and how long you would like to stay? Our minimum
requirement is six months, but a commitment of 9 months or a year
is preferred.
